Birthday Greetings from Mom and Dad.

At 12:01 AM, 17th January, I received a post on my wall on Facebook from Chan Siew Foon that went something like this:

Our dearest Kevin,

" Reflecting on the last 20 years of joy that you have brought into our lives,
Recounting all your achievements that you have made with pride,
Recalling all the magical moments that you have shared with us with delight,
We are always happy to have this loving son at our side ! "

We will always treasure :-

- Your hand made " Best Mum & Dad in the universe badges.
- Your compassionate, kind & loving nature shown from a very young age.
- Your daily reassuring words, hugs & kisses for the whole family.
- Your perseverance & hard work towards achieving your goals.

To us, you have already written many beautiful & memorable chapters in our
lives and we thank you for that.

We are truly blessed & proud to be your parents & we would like to wish you :

" HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY & MANY HAPPY RETURNS !"

We love you very much & meow- meow,

Mum & Dad.

Finally, a new year.

It's been so long since I last posted. It's not that my life was so uneventful, that I really had nothing to write about; it's not because I had nothing to say in response to your lengthy comments; but just that there was so much to say until I never had the time (or took the time) to put it all out in words.

So much has happened, a new year, and I'm turning twenty really, really soon. And despite not being perfect, come to think of it, I do like who I am at the moment. In retrospect, I feel that 2008 had been a really difficult year, with the weirdest things happening, but all that I've been through really made me grow up as a person, so much more than all the books in the world can ever do.

To maturity, wisdom and better decisions for the year,
Hamlet's Hero.

And I have a really interesting quote from a famous entrepreneur, Morten Lund, who has invested in more than 80 startups, most notably Skype, about our current, maybe dreary times.

"...remember out there that the chances out there are bigger now than ever; all the pricks went back to their safe jobs; the time for entrepreneurs is now!"

- Morten Lund, on the current financial situation.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade, ya?
